FDA Telework Thrive Banners
U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has hundreds of field offices and labs located throughout the United States and the entire world. Its internal communications already relied on a number of digital tools including Adobe Connect. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, majority of the FDA employees started working from home. This required additional extensive training, not only on best teleworking practices, but also by providing the employees with various suggestions on staycation and virtual means of entertainment and education for their family and children without leaving home to keep up the moral and maintain a healthy work-life balance. These educational campaigns were carried out by the agency’s internal Telework Thrive and FDA University teams.

On a subcontract with Suntiva (a business transformation and technology company), I was tasked with creating visually appealing banners for FDA’s internal communications via Adobe Connect and the FDA intranet. FDA’s Telework Thrive team selected a wolf cartoon from stock images created by Memo Angeles which we call “Wolfie” as the light-hearted and fun “messenger” of these training campaigns. I have altered the wolf cartoon and a variety of other vector stock illustrations to complete these series of banners.
