Branding for an Italian Restaurant

Italian Gardens needed a facelift. I started with the logo. They had a nice Tuscan landscape painting as a mural so I started with that (option 1). They liked option 2 (which I did too) because it was more sophisticated. And don't you love when the client agrees with your pick?
